I’ve never met anyone as magnetic as Toni. We had neighbouring rooms in our first year of university, and I remember meeting her on the first day and instantly knowing that I wanted to be her friend. Being around Toni just makes you feel good, like you’re being let in on the best secret in the world. Everything about her, from her mannerisms, her way of talking and emphasising certain words, to her utterly fantastic laugh, drew in a captive audience. When Toni talks, you want to listen. Toni loved fiercely and joyfully, to know her meant knowing all about her family, her friends, whatever book she was reading or show that she was auditioning for. Toni could make me laugh with just one raised eyebrow and she had a fantastic sense of humour. I know she’s somewhere sipping on a redbush and oat-milk tea, making fantastically clever observations and shining down on us all.
I send my deepest condolences to her friends and family, the world is much poorer without her, and I wish you all well. Toni will forever live on in the memory of all that had the pleasure of meeting her. Sending love xx
